@basedbrickpush1 Also people are prejudice - they respond to you based on prior assumptions vs receiving you as you are so no matter how experienced or “wise” you are it won’t matter unless you have the wrinkles to back it up

Arno About
Arno About@basedbrickpush1·
People always complain about getting old but there are also perks to getting up there in years. One of the perks is experience. I think experience mostly boils down to you learning from mistakes so you don't fail in the same way going forward. Saves you sooooo much time. Had this happen recently: Name of a prospect pops up during a team meeting. I know the name because he has been wanting to work with us for a while now. But he had doubts. That's fine. It happens. No one is perfect. One of my team members reached out to talk to him. 30 minute conversation. Answered all questions. Everything was crystal clear. But... the prospect still didn't pull the trigger. So a week later I reached out to ask if he was ready to get started. He sent me another list of questions. Stuff like: "I know you guys do this all the time and I've seen case studies, but can you give me extra guarantee X and extra guarantee Y?" "My uncle said he tried this Google thing once and it didn't work out, what do you think of that?" "I was looking online and I found another guy that does roughly the same thing you guys do, but he charges less money. Can you do it for less?" There was more, but you get the idea. Young inexperienced Arno would have gone through this entire list and answered every point. Would have taken me at least an hour. Experienced Arno knows that would not solve anything. If someone has received all the information AND gotten the chance to ask extra questions AND he is STILL shopping around? Still questioning his decision? Still heavily in doubt? It's probably not the right moment for him to make this move. So I told him: "hey man, if you have doubts about this and you don't think now is the right time to start working together, I think you shouldn't move forward." If you're in sales (and we all are, even if your business card says something else) it's NOT your job to cram stuff down people's throat. That's how salespeople got their horrendous reputation in the first place. I hate high pressure sales. Just leads to angry and disappointed people. Your job as a salesperson is to see if your product/service is a good fit for the guy you're talking to. If yes -> you make the sale. If no -> you don't make the sale If not right now -> you don't make the sale NOW but follow up later Very simple. Saves everyone time. Makes all parties a lot happier. Try it out.

@Clara_Gold Not meant to explain - meant to integrate —> for every increase in consciousness there is an increase in suffering (broader perspective)

I’ve done 4 trips of 5-MeO-DMT and it’s the purest immersion inside the matrix you could imagine. You finally get everything: the multidimensionality of time, the illusion of the self, the collapse of subject and object… But then you come back, and you can’t explain any of it.
Bryan Johnson@bryan_johnson

This was the most profound experience of my life. I am stunned beyond comprehension. This molecule is without peer. The 27mg dose opened up what felt like pure consciousness and intelligence. A majestic reveal of existence itself. In all its incomprehensible glory and majesty. It is impossible to explain with words. Whatever you imagine, multiply it by 1,000 and then add infinite width and depth and dimensions. But entrance was not granted without prerequisite. Existence demanded that I submit. That I say yes; without attachment and without condition. Yes to existence; yes to the dissolution of self; yes to release control; yes, to all. My ego registered the ask and panicked. It wanted control. It was desperate for control. It pleaded to escape from the torrent of light and essence that threatened to rip my sanity into chards. The urge to eject was overwhelming. Terror thundered throughout my mind and body. It took everything within me to release. I overcame and was treated with bliss that defies imagination. A euphoria colored with perfect harmony of all things. An orchestra of essence washed over me and swept me up in dance. It was home. The highest aspiration of intelligent life. For some reason, stored and tucked away as the ultimate prize. A single concept emerged in omnipresence: we cannot grok the preciousness of our existence. Yet it is everything we’ve ever wanted and more. The state we long for without knowing it exists. This caused me great pain and heartache. A swell of loyalty and devotion emerged inside me, pledging allegiance to existence. To become a warrior and caretaker of life on earth. To protect at any cost the candle of consciousness that has miraculously emerged in this part of the galaxy. What awaits will wipe all your tears, soothe all your sorrows, and infinitely exceed your wants.

@kekmaximusk I used to eat frozen peas in a cup as a kid - like earliest memories I’d be taking a plastic cup and opening the freezer and just pouring myself some frozen peas and eat them because i genuinely loved it - parents just let me. Peas gave me superpowers and I didn’t even know

My aunt just called. She & my uncle have decided they are ready to be old - downsize, sell their home, move to the beach. He wants me to have his library 😳 approximately the same size as mine is currently. This summer, I will have more than 5,000 books in my library 🥹

I'm convinced that a small percentage of the AI industry is already suffering some level of "AI psychosis." Maybe AI is inherently misaligned and unfit to serve any human goals.

what if consciousness is not produced by the brain, but filtered through it, like light through stained glass. the colors change yet the light was always there.

@pureMetatron What you don’t comprehend is that there are different belief systems around death & NOT seeing it as taboo does not make you bad or unempathetic just as you can be glad a rapid dog was put down - Trump clearly believes that man caused suffering to many & him dying will stop it

I'm gonna die on this hill. Charlie Kirk dies, people laugh and dance. Rob Reiner dies, people laugh and dance. Now Robert Muller died, Trump says he is glad he is dead. Trump will die, people will be dancing and celebrating. Biden will die, people will be dancing and celebrating. Can we make it a thing where it's just morally wrong to celebrate death? It's inappropriate, petty, vindictive and morally out of place. We need to be better than this as a nation and a people.
