The #Restitched "Shape Tool" 🛠️ is a powerful, fundamental feature of the level editor... Use it to easily reshape surfaces for gameplay or decor! 😍

🔧 The addition of Screen Space Global Illumination (SSGI) in #Restitched allows glowing objects and emissive textures to create semi-realistic lighting 💡 that bounces off surfaces, simulating point lights with almost no extra processing cost. 🚧 In this video, no true light sources are used. This makes it a useful technique for adding many extra decorative "lights" in one area without tanking performance! ⚠️ However, like with all "screen space effects", lighting cannot be calculated when the source is off-screen and some artifacts/noise can appear, especially on lower settings. We’re switching #Restitched to Deferred Rendering! 🛠️💡 ✅ This change stabilizes overall performance while giving us better (and newer) graphics effects, including GI, accurate SSAO, SSR, and more. ℹ️ In other words? Glowing surfaces and light bounces will illuminate things nearby, shadowed corners will look better, and metal will reflect what’s on screen. 🔓 This change will allow you to place more lights and effects in a level with a much lower performance impact. However, it will require a higher upfront memory cost.
