@mlycan12 Correct if I am wrong, most schools pack together Academic and Athletic money into one package. Academic money only applies for 4 years/undergraduate? If the player graduates in 4 years or less, does the academic scholarship money go away while they take graduate classes in year5

When the 5th year is implemented, I am wondering how this works from a scholarship perspective. Are programs obligated to maintain the scholarship for any rising Senior who wants to play a 5th year (bc otherwise that would be taking their scholarship away?). And, what about the commitment process? Normally we are discussing scholarship offers for 4 years. Must we now automatically be discussing scholarships over 5 years? And if so, that’s going to really screw budget management bc not everyone will take a 5th year but it will tie up money that could’ve been used to commit someone else, until we actually know if they are taking a 5th year (and that will likely be very late in the process). 🤯🤯.
