Did Trump finally got smarten up by his people about US literally having no say nor should they ban Iran playing at the WC? If it was up to this guy, he 100% wouldn't have let them participate. The players might get their visas but not sure all the staff would.

@GPinac81 @Cantona_Collars beg to differ, its the perfect place (OT, Derby) and gesture. However, I agree with you about having to compel it - is wrong. It's either we gonna do it out of sincerity or it just feels hollow and forced. Neither LFC, their fans nor the club told us we had to do it, though.

@Cantona_Collars The purpose of paying tribute has always been for the living and not the dead, in my humble opinion. If we did it once, brilliant. But doing it at the derby means much more for the family/fans who are still hurting. Besides, don't think any LFC fans are expecting us to do it tbh

Regarding the above the minutes silence following the tragic death of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva was impeccably observed at Old Trafford in August.
Expecting fans to revisit a loss from another club nearly a year later seems a strange expectation

@Cantona_Collars I see and understand your point. However, this is the first time we played them at Old Trafford after the tragedy. This is the best way to remind their fans and let the fans who didnt see us pay tribute know we stand by you and somethings are bigger than football.

Can't believe fans like this exist. You rather be first on "xG" than the most important stat. Which is to win. I just want our team to WIN. No matter how ugly. People seem to forget even under SAF, we had lots of shit wins but then turn up for the big matches.

Ruben Amorim had us comfortably leading these metrics earlier this season. We were top in xA, shots on target, total shots, and more. Since the shift to Carrick’s style, that’s dropped off badly. Right now, we’re not leading in anything. If anything, the performances have declined across the board. The worrying part is the results don’t even reflect how poor the football has been. We’ve been getting away with it.

2) he has a 4 year ban, of which 2 years is already served & most likely reduced by CAS, he will be back far sooner

He signed for €100M and was handed a 7-year deal worth £100k a week, yet hasn’t played in the last two years and is now banned for four.
Even more incredibly, he’ll still have a year left on his Chelsea contract when that ban ends.

@robwlwhite @TransferChecker Until they decide to terminate his contract due to misconduct, Chelsea still needs to pay him. Like you said, legally yes, they have very good grounds to terminate his contract but it's a long drawn out process. Meanwhile, he is still getting wages every week.

@TransferChecker They wont need to pay him during that ban. In essence, they could argue that as he is unable to carry out the terms of his contract (as he is banned from playing) he is in breach of contract. Losses could include the cost of his transfer fee, for example
