I went back to work 2 weeks after losing my 3 year old daughter. Was I emotionally prepared to go back to work, absolutely not. But getting up and dressed and thinking about being a good doctor is what kept me from going insane in those first few weeks.

Sometimes when you’re going through a tragedy you want to see just how awful a person can be before reaching your limit and walking away. I was in literal shock at the patient’s audacity. So Amanda saying “I was trying to understand you” is so relatable to me bc I am in it now!
