I left Catholicism as a teenager. I pretty much just moved on from it but I felt traumatized by losing God and Christ. I didnt believe it was true and that's what hurt so much. It felt like a betrayal. I never ever attacked anyone for their faith though and always stayed hoping God was real and dualism was real.

I had no idea LDS members would balk at this very basic, central belief about hell, heaven, and who goes where.
Yes, all Christians believe in hell and that we deserve to go there. That’s the bad news. The good news is, through Christ, we can be saved from hell and instead spend eternity with him. This is not accomplished through ordinances, church membership, or claims of apostolic succession, but through Jesus’s sacrifice alone. The good news is that there is nothing you can or must do to earn your way into God’s Presence. Rather, Jesus’s blood is sufficient in making us clean and acceptable before God.
You are free to believe that access to eternity with Jesus can only be accomplished through following LDS ordinances, and that non-LDS members will only have a degree of glory (but not God’s presence) in the afterlife. It’s just not a Christian belief.
For a believer in Christ, there is nothing good about the news that we non-Mormons will live forever in a “better place” but without the presence of Jesus. That is not heaven. Jesus is the prize! And our place with Him is secured by grace through faith in Him. Hallelujah!

#Mormonism sells a comforting lie: that everyone you love will make it, no matter what they believe.
The Bible doesn’t say that. Scripture is clear. Not all are saved. Truth divides. Even families will be separated by it.
The LDS system softens that reality because it’s easier to attract people with emotional promises than with hard truth. (This is why you see Jacob Hansen and others appeal to emotions) It replaces repentance and faith with a structured path that guarantees reunion, no matter the cost to biblical doctrine.
That isn’t restoration at all.
It trades truth for comfort and calls it revelation.
Trades truth for damnation.

I have a firm testimony of the Book of Mormon from a personal witness, but it's understandable if people have questions about its veracity. Note that the first several chapters of the Book of Mormon take place in 600 BC Jerusalem. The question at hand: how could Joseph Smith have gotten SO MUCH RIGHT about that culture, namesakes, locations, politics, language, of military practices from pre-exile Judah if he conjured the Book of Mormon from whole cloth in 1830?!
