Super Sky Point to Ryne Sandberg, my favorite second baseman of all time. I will never forget the countless hours tuned into WGN with Harry Caray and Steve Stone during those beautiful childhood summers that lasted forever. Before we knew how fast time actually flies and that our heroes don’t live forever. He could hit, he could field, and he did it all with class. Ernie Banks may be Mr. Cub but Ryno capably took that mantle for my generation. Somewhere in my heart it’ll always be 1984, Harry will always be three sheets to the wind while looking for blondes in the bleachers between pitches, and Ryne Sandberg will always get the clutch hit or make the great defensive play to save the day. That’s how I remember it because that’s how it was. Nobody ever wore Cubbie blue better. St. Peter, don’t throw this man fastballs. But I’m sure Bruce Sutter already told you that. #RIP

RIP Val Kilmer. Has anyone else ever had a better cinematic send off? So classy of Tom Cruise.

Godspeed, Val Kilmer. One of my favorite actors of all time. Chris Knight (Real Genius). Iceman (Top Gun). John Henry Patterson (The Ghost and the Darkness). Bruce Wayne (Batman Forever). Jim Morrison (The Doors). And, he will forever be Doc Holliday (Tombstone).

Good first year for Pope. This team was fun to watch. Bad way to end it, but lots of optimism for the future.

Do we just not practice rebounding? Do we even talk about it?

Kentucky can’t score, won’t rebound, can’t play defense, and is lazy on both ends. Do we really have to see another half?

All season, Kentucky plays defense like they’re afraid to foul. Other teams play us like they’re daring refs to call fouls. It’s a level of aggressiveness we just don’t have.

I will love watching this Kentucky team for as long as I can. But, I know that won’t be much longer.

Kentucky isn’t in the same league as this Auburn team. Lazy offense. No ability to defend. Zero intensity. This could get embarrassing quick.

I get why players complain after every foul. They are allowed to do anything they want until a ref decides randomly to blow a whistle.
