The game is rigged against the public schools that educate the majority of Ohio’s kids. Ohio taxpayers keep getting told there’s “not enough money” for public schools while billions are diverted into the private and religious school voucher scam.

Gas is at a historic high, and Ohioans are struggling to fill up their tanks. Our corrupt Statehouse underfunds public schools, and teachers are forced to do even more with less. As governor, I’ll fight to lower costs for every Ohioan.

@amyactonoh Stop the deception. The state is not underfunding schools. The public K-12 budget and per pupil spending is larger than at any time in history, even after inflation. You either know this and are lying or you don’t know it, which is crazy bc you are talking about it all the time.

@karr_pe Your schools are not being gutted. Enrollment in Cleveland municipal schools has dropped 54% in the last two decades. This 6% reduction in staff is simply the first move toward right sizing the staff.

I went to The City Club for the first time today. The president of our appointed school board and the school ceo were there to talk about how their plan to gut our schools is really for the benefit of the inner city students.

And those 300+ public schools are using your tax dollars to challenge the state law that gives you a choice in your child’s education. They will ultimately lose. When they come begging for more taxes, ask them why they spent the money you already gave them on losing lawsuits.

@KeithALake @MorganTrau 100% accurate. It was a shockingly inapproprate line of questioning. Boggs and Leland were vocal opponents of school choice in the general assembly. That is not their role any longer.

@MorganTrau They’re not lawmakers anymore. The answers to those questions are, “these are policy choices.” These are not questions for judges to decide. Aren’t they supposed to be focused on legal merits & constitutionality?
