South Alabama Speedway has banned Short Track Scene from covering the Rattler 250 because I refuse to apologize for calling out their use of AI in a fan-designed logo contest.
This is ridiculous but I want fans to know why and that I support creatives.

NASCAR says Daytona International Speedway had 150,000 people on property today and 450,000 for Speedweeks.
BIG NOTE: This is the first time NASCAR has given us attendance figures in at least 10 years. I think longer.

@markmartin @NASCAR What about adding practice back? Builds up the weekend, helps teams that want to participate adjust setups, and younger drivers get a feel for their cars and setups. F1 isn’t doing the greatest rn, but their investment in practice adds a lot of legitimacy to the sport imo.

@CGCaldwell89 You’re not wrong. Sponsors have left the sport from mid-matched personalities. A lot of that is the corporate PR chokehold. Totally get it….

@TroyShear The personality problem within nascar is because of corporate PR firms that choke the life out of everything creative wise.
But the biggest problem with NASCAR is the pay to play and how prevalent it has become. You need to have legitimacy.

Just watched Cleetus McFarland’s ARCA interview.
After last night - 100% he’s a personality that NASCAR needs. Dude keeps it real, checkers or wreckers.
I bet he would have been better in Trucks if ARCA would have been first. Guy just needs more seat time.

If I’m not mistaken, I believe there’s also a dip or bump there.
Also, he wrecked by himself. He could have tried to save it and wrecked half the field.

@TroyShear I think it’s insulting to the sport to throw out a guy in the truck series who literally couldn’t keep it straight for 10 laps. I don’t care how many YouTube subscribers he has.
Nice kid, sure. Great personality but racing shouldn’t be for everybody.
