This is true tryanny of a vocal and powerful minority forcing their mental illness masquerading as compassion on the rest of the populace. How in God's name are you protesting stray dogs being removed from education institutions? First-world activism with third-world politics.

Good riddance. Anyone who wants co-existence with strays are free to take them all in. There's no reason a college student should have worry about sharing the campus with 'community dogs'.

@santoshwildart You're entitled to an opinion. SC and law dont agree with you. invasive species are to be 'eradicated' if possible as per the von ention on biological diversity. India signed it. and stary dogs are listed as invasive species.

@MissionRabies does nothing to prevent dog bites but increases the prevalence of dogs bites via releasing stray dogs ibclnin institutional areas. You'll benefit off bad policy (ABC rules) knowing full well that rabies is but one effect of stray dogs and what youll do (releasing > 10,000 of them) is illegal in your home country and now in ours. Read the sc orders aug 22 and nov 11. and the awbi letter. and dont belive state govts who will dump liability on youll when we take you to the sc for contempt awbi.gov.in/uploads/regula… SC order dated November 7, 2025 LINK drive.google.com/file/d/1iaGlj9… SC order dated August 22, 2025 LINK drive.google.com/file/d/1adeq9p…

This country in its greed and rush to become some abysmal imitation of the West has decided to declare wholesale war on its wildlife and street animals. Massacres happen every single day. Tracts of forests are continuously being sold off or encroached.

A tragic event. Caracals are very rare in India, and are likely locally extinct in parts of their historic range. Killing a creature such as this one, which is shy and rarely encounters people, is a great loss. indiatoday.in/science/story/…

Please read. Having insane hate for the strays in not normal, live and let live. Under Section 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, killing, poisoning, maiming, or rendering any animal useless is a cognizable criminal offense. Replacing older IPC sections, this provision increases punishment to up to 5 years imprisonment, a fine, or both, applying to all animals. Key Details Regarding BNS Section 325 Offense: "Mischief by killing or maiming animal". Scope: Covers all animals, including strays, community animals, and pets. Punishment: Up to 5 years imprisonment, a fine, or both. Nature of Offense: Cognizable (police can arrest without a warrant) and triable by a Magistrate of the first class. Difference from IPC: The punishment has increased from 2 years under IPC Sections 428/429 to 5 years under BNS Section 325. Legal Action: A FIR can be filed under Section 325 BNS alongside Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. freelaw.in/legalarticles/…

Get ur facts right. Supreme Court never said strays have no rights. In fact all animals have rights. By the way why are you switching between ur statements. You never responded to pets being killed. Your homeless argument didn’t take flight so sneakily avoiding it. People like you are spreading misinformation and are the main sources of cruelty. I can feel the frustration you have on voiceless coz there are people out there to care them while you just spread incorrect statements. Live and let live.

Not really. Even pet dogs have been killed. In certain cases, perpetrators were high and committed the felony. By ur logic, homeless people have been killed too, why not end human homelessness? According to you, humans are important right ? So how does homelessness come into the picture ? Kindly come out of the tunnel vision.

Hundreds of dogs in a small village shows the total failure of govt's ABC program. Hence gram panchayat had no choice. They love their families and children.

@BasuShyamali it is. in rare cases of "furious" rabies, human patients can display symptoms resembling an animal's aggressive behavior, such as barking, howling, biting, or running on all fours due to extreme encephalitis.

Medical fact: “Barking like a dog” is not a medically recognised symptom of rabies. Public conversations around health issues should rely on verified medical evidence, not viral misinformation. #SaveIndianDogs #AwaraNahiHamaraHai

@TruConserve @ThePrintIndia @manishamondal25 And how many states / districts / gram panchayats have actually implemented it ? Isn’t that breaking the law and defying the Supreme Court orders ? People like u don’t even bother to question that but ready to pounce on those who show love and compassion to the voiceless.

Leopards move into human habitation due to the high prevalence of stray dogs that they eat and sometimes kids/women get killed. Remove stray dogs and leopards will decrease in human inhabited areas. Read the research. Also it's legal to kill humans in self defense. it's also applicable to any animal.

Maharashtra Cabinet approves reclassifying leopards from Schedule 1 to Schedule 2 in the name of tackling rising man-animal conflict. Why should this concern us? 1. Under Schedule 2, individuals will not face legal action if they kill a leopard in self-defense or to protect others when the animal enters human settlements. 2. Directives have been issued to officially declare leopards that enter human settlements and cause loss of human life as "man-eaters." 3. To control the population, the Central Government has granted permission to capture and sterilize five female leopards on an experimental basis (down from the state's proposal of 150) While public safety is a priority, moving leopards from Schedule 1 to Schedule 2, making it easier to kill them in self-defenseis a reactive measure that doesnt solve the root cause: habitat destruction. Leopards arent invading our space; we are expanding into theirs. Every time a forest is cleared for a new road or building, we are pushing these magnificent predators into a corner. Instead of reclassification, we should be focusing on: 1. Habitat Restoration: Giving them the space they need to thrive away from humans. 2. Corridor Protection: Ensuring they can move safely between forest patches. 3. Coexistence Education: Investing in community led solutions that protect both livestock and leopards without violence. We cannot just cull or reclassify our way out of a biodiversity crisis. Lets advocate for solutions that respect the life of every leopard and the integrity of our ecosystems. #SaveTheLeopard #WildlifeConservation #Maharashtra #HabitatLoss #Coexistence #WildlifeProtectionAct @CMOMaharashtra @byadavbjp @PMOIndia @AjoyDharmavaram @IyengarJayanthi @dilthi_gujarati @SpotzHaroon @pricatttt @Tara_Deshpande @deespeak @pvs000 ommcomnews.com/india-news/man…
