“The worms must think he has nothing better to do” 😂 Reading my grandmothers journal from 1960. Must have been a wet summer in Breese Illinois! My grandfather replanted corn 3x and finally finished on August 2nd. It was chopped for silage in November. They lived 3-4 miles outside town but only went to town for church. Confession was mentioned almost bi-weekly in her journal. Prices from the fruit truck amazed me! They canned large amounts at a time. They picked their own walnuts and wild blackberries, plus had a very large garden. Grandma was born in 1920, and was just a kid during the Great Depression. Her entire life, nothing was wasted. She saved aluminum foil, bread bag wrappers, and many other things until her dying day.

Ain’t nothing cleaner than a Gleaner 👍🏼 Running last night in some 50-55 bushel beans. 4.2-4.7mph, 11-14gpa fuel use, only 83% engine load. Almost zero grain loss. I will say, it felt like we were crawling along early season in green stem beans, but now that we’re in a bean variety that’s dried down good, this thing is walking a dog
