I have a confession to make.
Despite being healthy and knowing soda is bad, I have strangely become obsessed with Root Beer. I never craved it but this year started to and now I can't stop buying different kinds to try.
"all things in moderation " blah blah blah i know but like, I dont want to be moderate.
I just find the brain so fascinating on why I would suddenly want something I would normally be repulsed by.

@hollywoodscifi Easy, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home!
Was family friendly enough that i was allowed to watch it as a kid.

@Pirat_Nation Don't need it. 85Hz-100Hz CRT's suit me just fine. 😎
English

@Pirat_Nation Guess Nvidia doesn't care about a little something called "latency" anymore.
Funny that, seeing as how latency was one of the primary weaknesses of AFR in 3-way and 4-way SLI setups. 🤔

Nvidia's DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and 6X Multi Frame Generation* beta arrives tomorrow
>6X Mode lets the AI generate up to five extra frames for every one frame rendered by the GPU.
>Dynamic Mode automatically adjusts the frame generation multiplier in real time to target your chosen FPS cap or monitor refresh rate

English

@SandyofCthulhu Damn, no matter how old you get, you will never be allowed to play it. Even when you're 81, you still need to be 162 years old, to play! 😛

@Pirat_Nation A good reason to never ever touch a sony console or game, ever again.
English

Sony has published a patent for dynamically adjusting (nerfing or buffing) players in multiplayer sessions to balance cross-platform like console, PC, and mobile.
The technology would monitor hardware, input methods, and skill levels in real time
Then nerf or buff players, such as by reducing speed or reaction times for console and PC users to balance disadvantages faced by mobile players using touch controls.

English

@Pirat_Nation Honestly? I don't really care anymore as it won't affect me. Modern AAA gaming can burn for all i care.
Retro gaming (and some indie) is the only thing that truly matters to me now, and it feels so damn good not having to care about hardware upgrades. 😎

@RyteSideUp @Vaxman80 "The Burn" was the moment I completely checked out of NuTrek. The moment i knew the franchise was beyond salvaging.
That was one pill that wasn't just hard to swallow, but outright refused to go down.
English

@Vaxman80 I totally understand that.
The whole reason for “The Burn” happening and how it was fixed seems better suited to a TV movie about “Care Bears in Space” than a Star Trek show.
English

Star Trek through the years-
TOS: “Hey, this really diverse group of people is really good at their jobs. It’s something to aspire to.”
TNG/VOY/DS9: “Hey, this really diverse group of people, which even includes old enemies, is really good at their jobs. It’s something to aspire to.”
ENT: “These people that are brand new at this job are good at it, and they’re good at getting a diverse group of people to work together to do it. It’s something to aspire to.”
NuTrek: “This group of idiots is really diverse, and that’s okay, because they’re so diverse!”
Can we please understand why one of these is being rejected by fans of the franchise?
English

@Pirat_Nation Of course they should, their the ones who will shill his products. 😛

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated that if he had a choice between two college graduates,
"one that has no clue what AI is, and one that is expert in using AI, I would hire the one who's expert in using AI. Every single time."
He added, "Every college student should graduate and be an expert in AI,"
