🇫🇷 France refused to let American military supply planes fly over French territory to Israel. Sensible decision. You do not help a loser. And Trump is a loser. Not a controversial statement at this point. This is a man who has never won anything without cheating, lying, or having someone else clean up the mess. Six bankruptcies. One stolen election attempt. One Middle East war he started and then lost. France has survived Napoleon, two world wars, and actual German occupation. They are not going to be threatened into submission by a man who cannot even win a war against a country he claimed was already decimated. Trump will REMEMBER, he says. In capitals, no less. The last refuge of a man with no leverage and a very large phone. Nobody lines up to help a loser. That is not cynicism. That is just how the world works. When you lose, the phone stops ringing. Yikes. The U.S. hiring rate fell to 3.1% in February, the lowest since April 2020. This is a hiring recession. And Americans are feeling it. There were notable hiring pullbacks in February in hospitality and construction. Bottom line: The job market was already frozen before the war in Iran began. It's worrying that a "no hire, no fire" situation could turn into a "no hire, start to fire" job market quickly if there isn't a resolution soon.
