Brenden and Laila, congratulations on completing The 50 Yard Challenge! You should both be incredibly proud of this accomplishment. Many kids accept the challenge, but not everyone reaches the finish line—and you did. This journey was about so much more than mowing lawns. It was about serving people in need, listening to their stories, helping your neighbors, and showing what it truly means to be caring and responsible young citizens.
One of the greatest lessons The 50 Yard Challenge can teach is that serving others matters. Every lawn you mowed made someone’s day a little easier and helped strengthen your community. Always remember: “The smallest act of kindness can leave the biggest impact.” Carry the lessons, compassion, and determination you gained from this experience with you throughout life. Congratulations again, Brenden and Laila—you completed The 50 Yard Challenge, and your community is better because of you!

A new era begins for us. The Black Jacket.
Starting this year , kids who complete the 50 Yard Challenge will earn a black varsity jacket as a symbol of their hard work, dedication, and service to their community.
The inspiration behind the Black Jacket comes from the tradition of the green jacket awarded at The Masters Tournament, creating a meaningful symbol that represents excellence, commitment, and achievement within our program. Kids get the jackets along with their new equipment .
Kids of previous years that did the challenge , will be able to get one once we secure a sponsor for our jackets. If any company is interested in becoming a sponsor and having your logo on our jackets & shirts please reach out.
** I moved the USA flag to the sleeve . The other patch says “I completed the 50 yard challenge “ .

HERO ALERT: Two 13-year-old boys on a bike ride in Iowa spotted an elderly woman who had been trapped on the ground for 16 hours and saved her life!!
Gunner Skidmore and Kohen Chick were pedaling toward Muscatine when one of them noticed something in a yard and they turned around to check.
They searched until they found their elderly neighbor lying in the grass after she had fallen the day before while feeding her horse.
She had spent the entire night on the ground with no phone and no water, covered in bugs, after dragging herself from the backyard to the front in hopes someone would see her.
The boys called 911 right away and stayed with her until help arrived.
Medics later said that just a few more hours and she likely would not have made it.
While she recovers, Gunner’s mom has been going over every day to feed and water the horse, and the families brought her lasagna when she got home from the hospital.
The boys did not just save a life that day.
They made a new friend and showed what it looks like when good parents raise good kids who still look out for their neighbors.
These are the young men and the families that make this country worth fighting for.
Make them FAMOUS!

Hunter and Austin, you did it! Congratulations again on completing The 50 Yard Challenge. This is something both of you should be incredibly proud of because you made a commitment, worked together, and saw it through to the very end. Along the way, I’m sure you met wonderful people, heard unforgettable stories, and created memories that will stay with you for life. Your community appreciates you more than you may ever realize because you didn’t just say you wanted to make a difference, you went out and made it happen. Always remember, “Your character is revealed by the promises you keep when no one is watching,” . Carry this same determination, kindness, and commitment with you throughout life, and never forget that two young men with willing hearts can make a difference far greater than they ever imagined.
