I was falsely accused of speaking bad about our leagues and claiming to be better than professionals to push a hateful agenda. I said nothing. However, I now say: while I am not better than professionals in organized systems, after watching the NPFL and NNL setups and playing with numerous players in the system over time, I swear on my father's grave that I am currently better than some of the strikers in the NPFL and NNL. Pound for pound, output for output, I will give better outputs than some of these people. Those who have watched me recently know this. Mal 3 does not apply to you. It was a reminder of the commandments given to the Israelites in Deut 22. The entire Malachi was a reminder that the Isrealites were violating specific God's instructions given to them and were being admonished to course correct. Mal 1 - a warning to the Priests for offering defiled animals as burnt offerings. They were supposed to use the best of the flock but didn't. God was angry. Mal 2 - God was warning the Priests that he will curse their blessings if they do not take it to heart to give Him the glory. Secondly, he was warning the Isrealites against treating their wives badly and leaving them for foreign women. Then he warned them against divorce because he did not like divorce. Mal 3 - God was saying he would send his messenger to cleanse his priest so they can offer acceptable offerings. Secondly, he warned the Israelites to bring their tithe to the store house. They were supposed to meet once a year to eat their tithe in God's presence with their family which they had stopped. On the 3rd year, they were to give these tithes to the Levites who had no inheritance and were forbidden to work. But by stopping the practice, the storehouse was empty. This means the Levites would have nothing to eat for the next 3 years unless they go and work. Thirdly, God warned them against ignoring his commandment for which they have said there is no benefit for obeying God. God then said those who fear him and keep his commandments will be His. Mal 4 - is about judgement. God said he will destroy the proud and wicked. But those who fear him, he will bless them if they keep the commandments he gave to Moses. All these instructions were given to the Isrealites by Moses. They were violating them and Malachi was sent as a prophet to warn them of God's anger if they continued ignoring Him. Question is why does your Pastor focus on only Tithe? That was not the only instruction given by Malachi. What is the commandment on tithe? Bring your tithe to the presence of God, then FEAST, EAT and MAKE MERRY before God. You are to eat it in the presence of God. On the 3rd year, everything goes to the Levites who are forbidden to work Year 1 - eat Year 2 - eat Year 3 - give to Levites Year 4 - eat Year 5 - eat Year 6 - give to Levites. The store house Mal 3 was talking about is the one where food for the Priests were kept. That was where David ate from when he was hungry because he was annointed. There were no more food for the Levites in the store houseand God needed his people to give their tithes. You're not an Isrealite and there are no more Levites. We are all adopted into sonship through Christ and all have the ministry of reconciliation. Scriptural Backing. Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year. EAT the tithe of your grain, new wine and olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the presence of the Lord your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name, so that you may learn to revere the Lord your God always. At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year’s produce and store it in your towns, so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. - Deut 14: 22-23, 28 - 29 Even if you want to believe in tithing, you are supposed to take it to church to eat. You're not donating it. Anyone who collects your tithe is a thief.
