A waiting period raises the question: what prevents someone from committing harm after it concludes? Regarding background checks, what prevents someone from enlisting a person with a clean record to obtain a firearm, bypassing the background check process? As for Red Flag laws, how can we ensure this system won't be abused by people with different political views?
