@BRANDREDACTED @YinzUp Had a better scheme and coaching staff. Steelers have an upgraded coaching staff and very likely scheme as well. And if there’s something Rodgers can adapt to, it’s McCarthy’s style of offense. Which is far more QB friendly than Arthur Smith’s ever was.

@BRANDREDACTED @YinzUp That’s what Seahawks fans were saying before they won the Super Bowl. Rodgers in the right scenario can win a playoff game but he has to be more adaptable than he was last season.

@bluewideriver @dervolkman @LombardiHimself It’s not about the number, it’s about the market value in correlation to cap percentage. The Chiefs extended Tyreek Hill in 2019, making him tied for the 2nd highest paid WR in the league. They won the Super Bowl his extension. Thoughts and prayers.

@emmanuelozmac @AdamSchefter It’s barely higher than Chase’s THIS SEASON. WR market will be much higher by the end of 2027, thus meaning the 40 mil won’t be that high when the extension kicks in.

ESPN Sources: Offensive Player of the Year and Super-Bowl champion Jaxon Smith-Njigba reached agreement with the Seattle Seahawks on a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension that now makes him the highest-paid WR in NFL history.  The deal averages $42.15 million per year, and includes over $120 million guaranteed, both setting records for any wide receiver. The deal was confirmed by @WINSportsGroup.

@bluewideriver @dervolkman @LombardiHimself Yeah and part of that was because they didn’t have complete teams or bad coaching. Seattle currently doesn’t have that problem and Njigba’s extension won’t kick in for a couple of seasons. By that time, his contract won’t count as much due to salary cap and WR market increases.

@clarencehilljr Did it? JSN didn’t reset the market. See this analysis from Spotrac: JAN’s 4-year, $168.6M extension makes him the highest APY WR in history ($42.15M). But from a % of cap perspective, the deal ranks 2nd. APY % of Cap 1. Ja'Marr Chase, 14.42% 2. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, 13.99%

@Lightwalkerrx @MrEnlightened9 @Kurrco All I’m going to say is that I know the Canadian hip-hop when Aubrey was doing the TV show that I never watched in my life. From Van City, 514, to The Dot. Aubrey cool, but extremely overrated and glazed for no valid reason due to his hyper emo vibes.

J. Cole says he found it "disgusting" how people tried to tear down Drake, while also being proud of Kendrick Lamar and the moment he had: "The world became like politics, you either Democrat or Republican. You either Kendrick, or you Drake." "I was disgusted both ways, damn near." "The 'out of hand' that to me is disgusting, how people try to use that opportunity to show how they really felt about Drake the whole time, or just to pile on and tear this dude down and create a narrative as if he's not great. It was a whole campaign." (via Talk With Flee)

@bluewideriver @LombardiHimself That 40 mil in 2026 won’t be the same 40 mil in 2028. Y’all out here rage baiting while ignoring simple economics. His extension isn’t kicking in to their cap percentage for at least another season.

@LombardiHimself That contract would never have been a ‘bargain’. These costs for WRs are team wreckers.

@realwifiwillie He’ll be likely making as much as Chase’s current contract in 2028 which should be considered a deal by then with the salary cap increases.

This is way too much money for one WR.

BREAKING: The #Seahawks and WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba have finalized a 4-year, $168.6M deal that makes him the highest-paid WR in NFL history, surpassing Ja’Marr Chase, per @AdamSchefter. The deal averages a whopping $42.15M per year, and JSN also gets $120M in guarantees. 💰💰

@Theurgyer @AcePeace211 @AdamSchefter If you honestly look at the current WR contracts, his really didn’t go up by that much. DK Metcalf was still the 5th highest paid WR before Jax and Pittsburgh has a bunch of other highly paid players on their squad and top 10 cap space before free agency started.
