I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about shitty price action during January. The markets are going to go through continuous phases that require more patience vs less patience. If you truly have a model that has a statistical edge, is repeatable, and you have confidence in, there should be no market condition that knocks you off your game. Your sole purpose as a trader (once you have your model) is executing that model flawlessly when the market presents it, and doing nothing at all when the market is not presenting it. Most traders will fail during “shitty” months like January. Those who focus on performance and good decision making in line with their model will thrive regardless of how markets are delivering.
