This is all Ultrakill's fault, by the way. There were barely any indie shooters before that. Now you have to dumpster dive to find anything good.



This recent stuff about just playing RE games is eye opening honestly, I didn't think it was this bad. Just how much of gaming discourse over the last decade was steered entirely by people who don't play games and just engage in fandom spaces? Hell how much discourse about anime too? has hobby discourse just been one big Platos cave? have our hobbies and video games been making adjustments and changes entirely based on people who have never gone near what they demand be changed and know actually very little about it. All because its disrupting their social hang out space and not actually out of any personal investment or knowledge of the thing itself.








I miss when Dead by Daylight was about scary serial killers and not just edgy Fortnite
