Shout out to all the Giga-Saitozens who have chipped in this week with bug and usability reports. A raft of gotchas have been cleaned up, polish added and we've snuck in a few new features. Like any good upgrade, as soon as you are done, you start seeing everywhere else that could do with some love so keep it coming. Meanwhile work on porting scripting to the consensus layer continues while we test the big networking and peer management refactor. We'll get a fuller text of video (should time zones allow) update out next week. Have a great weekend Saitozens! If you just can't get enough Saito - check out the Open Internet Pod @OpenInternetPod/podcasts" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@OpenInternetP…
- most recent ep on privacy out soon.

"You’ll own nothing and be happy" Sounds great in a brochure. But do you know anyone who owns nothing, and is truly happy?

Whether it’s with AI, firewalls, algorithms, or regulations, everyone wants to “save the internet” But how did we get here in the first place?

Hawley's GUARD Act just passed committee 22-0. Every American would have to upload a government ID or submit to a face scan to use an AI chatbot. Even for asking for algebra help or fixing a billing issue. The framing is child safety but the result is a national ID system for talking to a computer. reclaimthenet.org/senate-panel-b…
