Hollywood has decided to film a movie at the old Hardee’s location in Monticello. The movie will be called Salad Fingers starring @johngoodman. Here is a photo of the sign before they covered it up. What a time to be alive!

Been farming for almost 30 years now, always planted Pioneer on majority of acres, a few competitors here and there, but by and far their seed. Planting zero acres of it next year because they refuse to budge on price. I guess they can plant it elsewhere. Let the games begin.

What this world needs more than ever right now is some fiesty grandmas from the 1980's that grew up in the depression. They knew how to do everything...before phones or Google. They had no filter. They could grow a garden. Ring a neck...and cook. They'd sew your jeans back whole and tell you exactly why your jeans don't fit. They knew most importantly to watch what people do instead of what they say. They were unbamboozable. Because they lived it all and could smell bullshit from across the fence.

I was pretty excited how corn was coming along this spring. Then rootworms decided to enter the game, showed their face today with a little wind and heavy rain. Gunna be some ugly corn out there if we get a 50+mph wind

@CordtHolub @JohnDeere Bingo on the simplicity. Run around to 3-4 different stores for a project or one stop shop and turn a blind eye to the cost. Of course a lot of money can be saved with a little research and the time to either go get it or wait for it, but a lot of people don’t have the patience.

One of the biggest spectacles of my young farming career is how @JohnDeere can markup the most simple of parts 2-3x more than the exact same parts at other stores. How did this business model ever become successful?? Simplicity? Quick stop n shop? Atmosphere?
