America, as a liberal empire, is no more. Welcome to a new era of US governance by oligarchy, where billionaire members of Mar-a-Lago decide US policy. And guess what? Protecting the European Union or the living standards of Europeans is not on their priority list! They don't care about post-1945 Europe. The fall of the Berlin Wall, EU enlargement, our single currency. The expermiental steps we have made, away from our imperial past. These are far away things that mean nothing to them. Who will defend Europe? We are completely unprepared for this feral new world. Remember the 🇪🇺 is an experiment & has no automatic right to exist. It needs to be nurtured. Pro-Europeans will have to stand up and fight for something more than the EU we have today. A real Union, that protects, brings prosperity & stands up for its citizens in this new world. Trump will bring big change, but such historic moments can be opportunities as well. Choose activism over despair. Raise money for Ukraine, join a political party, stand for election. All of us individually as pro - europeans can make a small change to define our own future.

@mrconfino Hamas will break our nerves at every junction of this deal. There will be delays, last-minute changes, discrepancies, and ‘confusions’. This is a deal with a terrorist organization, not with Switzerland. We’ll have to show tons of ‘understanding’ and patience.

‼️🚨Ceasefire off to a bad start: Hamas has not yet provided Israel with a list of names of three hostages set to be released today at 16:00 local time due to “technical issues”. The agreement stipulates that Israel will receive the lists of names 24 hours before every release of hostages. Prime Minister Netanyahu said he instructed the IDF that the ceasefire, which is scheduled to take effect at 8:30 a.m., “will not begin until Israel has the list of hostages to be released, which Hamas has pledged to provide.” Needless to say, if Hamas can’t provide names of hostages set to be released, there’ll be no ceasefire at all and the war will resume with “full force” as Netanyahu said yesterday

This morning I spoke at Slush. I am very happy that Slush has grown over the years. I want to leave with three thoughts: 1. Think hard what technology means to you personally. 2. Think hard how your company makes tech work for good. 3. Think hard what kind of global rules we need for AI and tech.
