@C_NyaKundiH I fully support the police on this. Matatus were to protest peacefully by withdrawing their vehicles from the roads. But extortion, robberies, destruction of properties and mayhem can't be tolerated. Let the police deal with criminals be it ever so severely.

@C_NyaKundiH So Kenyans are protesting against fuel prices by looting and robbing one another and burning down one another's cars? Then you're saying security forces should stay away?

This matatu strike is not a policing issue.... It is an economic issue. Kenyans are protesting fuel prices, cost of living and a government that has refused to listen. Security chiefs must stay out of this and stop being used as political shields for Kenya Kwanza’s economic failure. When police rush to threaten citizens before leaders even address the grievance, it raises a serious question.... is some of the violence and chaos we have seen today planned, allowed, encouraged or exploited so the regime can hide behind “security” instead of confronting the economic pain? Ruto and his government must face Kenyans directly. You cannot raise fuel prices, ignore the suffering, then send commanders to speak in the language of force. Security chiefs are not elected leaders. Let them maintain lawful order, not manage political anger on behalf of a failed regime.

Millennials are so weird. Many of them boarded traitor PSVs at 2 a.m just to avoid the dreadful thoughts of being fired even during a nationwide PSV strike. Their imaginary sense of job security comes before personal security. Meanwhile, Gen Z wote wametext boss hawaendi leo.

Looting has been reported in parts of Naivasha as protests over rising fuel prices continue to spread. Several businesses were reportedly targeted during the unrest, which has been linked to nationwide demonstrations by transport operators and members of the public opposing increased fuel costs. #RejectFuelPrices

@C_NyaKundiH President Ruto seems to have lost grip of the country. I'd he was, then the kind of mayhem experienced today wouldn't have happened. A country where people just wake up and do whatever they want. Matatu sector must be orderly and disciplined.

The continued increase in fuel prices is pushing the cost of living beyond the reach of ordinary Kenyans. Transport, food, and basic commodities are becoming more expensive every day. Leaders must put wananchi first and stop burdening citizens with policies that deepen economic hardship.

@Scarlettafc_7 @C_NyaKundiH Matatus have started coming back on the roads and by 6pm all will have resumed work. Fuel prices remain the same and Ruto is still president.

@C_NyaKundiH At least the whole of this week, one day only will not do anything, Kasongo thinks it's only a single day strike and tomorrow is business as usual, solidarity and sacrifices must be made.

@the_sambu @C_NyaKundiH I think looting, extortion and mayhem were not supposed to be part of Matatu strike. The government in this situation is justified to apply force, however brutal.

The government increases fuel prices. Kenyans react immediately and express dissatisfaction. The government turns deaf, and those supposed to help in finding solutions, like the CS Treasury, boast of how they cannot be advised to run the ministry. Kenyans react, and now the government reacts with its force!
