Second grade Ag engineers used their knowledge of plants and the pollination process to design, create, and test hand pollinators. Then,had a visit from @kentuckyag MSAC to become soybean farmers and planted soybean necklaces. Students loved learning from Kalee and Miss Kentucky!

Couldn't be prouder of this team. They were facing an extreme amount of adversity today and a mountain that seemed impossible to climb. Down a girl for the second half, they came from 5 behind to tie the game at 12. Unfortunately, gave up a goal in the final minute. 🦅🥍💪👏👏

Today was an egg-citing day for Timberlake’s Tigers! Our quail chick hatched! 🐣 Also, the egg we’ve been sitting on in our seats miraculously hatched into chicks, too! We have been so careful holding and taking care of our babies today! @ELeducation @JCPSELA

I am convinced we have the best #stem teacher ever. @TullyStem Started the class period with Lego robotics and had kids practice coding…ended the class watching a quail hatch. On the way out of stem lab, I overheard several say “it’s the best day ever!” 💙

Last week was special area clubs week! Students had choice in the club they attended. I was able to have an “Animal Encounters” club. Grateful for our guest speakers and Tully families for sharing their animals for the week so these students could research them. @tullyelemjcps

What I love about Front Porch duty is this encounter—it happens daily. Takes her a good 5 mins to load each day bcs every kid gets a hug—many linger and just let her hang onto them—and every kids gets to share something about their day. They love her. She loves them back, hard.
