The 3rd Annual Gildz “HR Scrub Derby” is back! Below is the HR Scrub pool for 2026. Rules to contest listed as well, make sure you read those prior to entering your submission. Contest is live starting today but you have until Monday, 4/13 first game to enter your submission. All entries submitted after first pitch Monday are locked out. You can select a player anytime up until contest lock but if player HR’s this weekend, you’re eliminated. Going to be tougher this yr as there are new eligibility requirements. To qualify as a scrub, the player must have hit 10+ HR’s last season but no more than 25+. Eliminating the obvious fades. Winner gets free entry into 2027 NFBC Draft Champions. @RunDMcD Bryan Woo had internal brace in 2021

Is it possible? Maybe. But I doubt it. Part of the problem is it wasn't following TJ... it was following the internal brace procedure - and he rushed back. And on top, he's now had two major arm surgeries. Pretty sure the entire list of guys who successfully made it back from the internal brace procedure was: Drew Rasmussen The list of SPs who had two major arm surgeries and successfully returned is also very short. Both? It's just Rasmussen. Also, Strider is pretty much a two pitch pitcher. He needs both his slider AND FB to be elite to succeed. His FB never came back last season and still doesn't look like it has returned this spring either.

@RunDMcD Dave, I’d like to sincerely thank you for waiting til March to draft. I’ve got good friends like @BullpenGuru who drafted 22% Lopez and needed to learn a hard lesson. Gotta teach a man to fish.

Lopez was already on my fade list. He's now off my board completely. Elbow "soreness" is the least concerning compared to "tightness" and "inflammation" and if he felt soreness while pitching in-season he might be ok. But elbow soreness in spring training is often a death knell
