@Huw86361670 That's Mel Tierney, one of three players from the 1946-47 West Wales Challenge Cup squad to go professional and move north to Belle Vue Rangers RLFC. The other two being centre Lyn Walters and Austin Jones. Mel also played cricket for Tumble. He got capped for Wales in league.

WYNNE JONES The club are saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Wynne Jones of Drefach at the age of 100 years. 'Wynne y Siop' was part of the 1945/46 West Wales Challenge Cup winning side who defeated Amman United RFC at Stradey Park. Deepest condolences to his family. 🖤🤍
