People complaining about java not being suitable for cli commands because too slow still uses maven, Gradle, ant etc. which are clis written in java. The true value of a cli is not in startup time but in the utility value it brings. But yes, add native image and you will be fine :)

@NiklasEnns Not very much if you do it early enough.

The problem with switch statements and if/else chains is that they replicate like gerbils. If you aren't careful to sequester them in the early stages of your project, you'll find them reproducing in every corner of your application.

@unclebobmartin When is the correct time to refactor an if/else into polymorphic classes? It takes some effort. 😶

🏝️ My weekend was 🦀 #rustlang building #axum services and layers and bring together web #gRPC and http with logging, tracing and so on. I care a lot about DX. While Rust is very fast, lots of frameworks go DX-unfriendly high-generic zero cost abstraction way on top 😕.

Playing around with @anchore's @SyftProject and @GrypeProject, as well as @DependencyTrack. A simple experiment already yielded satisfying results.

Re-running failed jobs seems to "fix" the issue (it sometimes takes 2-3 re-runs to get the pipeline green)

@githubstatus I am experiencing problems with actions. Multiple of my pipelines give me the warning "An image label with the label Ubuntu22 does not exist." and the runs show as cancelled, e.g. here: github.com/quarkiverse/qu… is this a general problem?
