Just learned about Ken Isaacs' "Superchair" (1967).
Built-in book rest, shelves, lamp, drink tray, and a seat back that folds into a bed.
A place for "inventive work and the individual search for peace of mind", as he put it.
It was meant for people to build it themselves, hence the almost unfinished look. Blueprints were published in Popular Science in 1968.

My child is in 1st grade right now learning how to read and operate analogue clocks. She has had homework on it the last 2 months…
In fact, we bought manipulatives to help make her learning immersive at home

Schools are removing analogue clocks and replacing them with digital ones because learners can’t tell the time. Met a 21-year-old recently, asked him the time… he couldn’t answer. I’ve seen it first hand 😭
