Britain is 110% self-sufficient in lamb. Let that sink in for a moment. Not "pretty good." Not "mostly fine." One hundred and ten percent. We grow more than we eat and export the rest. We have done this on permanent upland pasture that cannot be used for anything else, managed by farmers whose families have worked the same ground for generations, using animals that have been optimised for these conditions over centuries. 85% self-sufficient in beef. 100% in milk. 90% in eggs. The animal products on your plate, if you're eating in Britain, are almost certainly British. The supply chain is: farm, abattoir, butcher or supermarket. Measured in miles. Sometimes in tens of miles. Now. Your January strawberries are from Egypt. Your year-round peppers are from Spain or Morocco. Your salad leaves are from Israel in winter. Your green beans come from Kenya. Your blueberries are from Peru or Chile. They travel by refrigerated air freight, which is roughly fifty times more carbon-intensive per kilogram than road transport, to sit in a plastic clam shell next to a small flag and the word "fresh." The environmental argument against British animal products is not an environmental argument. It is a geography argument made by people who have not checked where their food comes from. Check where your food comes from.

PTS Member, Gibraltar Philatelic Bureau is pleased to unveil a new stamp issue commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of the late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This special issue of six stamps, together with a £10 high-value stamp, pays a heartfelt tribute to the life and legacy of Britain’s longest reigning monarch. Each stamp reflects a defining moment or enduring quality from her remarkable journey. The six stamps of the set follow the life of Her Majesty, with the 30p value featuring her as a baby, through to her coronation on the £1 value, and a public appearance in later years on the £4, featuring her trademark colourful wardrobe. The accompanying higher value £10 stamp and accompanying sheetlet feature Queen Elizabeth on horseback during the Trooping the Colour ceremony in 1951, where she took the place of her father who was unable to attend due to ill health. The artistic vision behind this collection was brought to life by local graphic artist, Mr. Stephen Perera, whom masterfully selected the different photographs to illustrate and honour the dedication of Queen Elizabeth to not only her role but also her loyal subjects. The math on William Shatner’s existence is hard to process. He was born closer to the Civil War than to today. Montreal, 1931. His father manufactured clothes. His first acting role came in 1951, the same year color TV was introduced to the American public. Star Trek premiered in 1966. It lasted 3 seasons and got cancelled. The first rerun aired before humans had walked on the Moon. Those reruns are still generating licensing revenue 57 years later. He’s been famous for 60 consecutive years. He survived being typecast so severely in the 1970s that he did convention appearances for grocery money. He survived his third wife’s death. He survived Hollywood writing him off as a joke. Then he weaponized the joke. Priceline commercials. The roast. Spoken-word albums where he recites Elton John lyrics as dramatic monologue. Every project that should have ended his career somehow added to it. At 73, back-to-back Emmys for Boston Legal. At 90, oldest person to fly to space. At 94, a Super Bowl ad. At 95, 4.3 million people watching him smoke a cigar on X. His career has now outlasted the Soviet Union, the Space Shuttle program, Blockbuster Video, MySpace, and the first three generations of AI models. He’s been working since Truman and he’s posting through the Claude era. The compounding is the point. 75 years of showing up created a distribution moat that no amount of talent alone could replicate.
