Cooking something cool for you guys today. First impressions with GLM 5.2 is that it straight up just feels like opus I can't even tell the difference other than it actually works and is cheaper. Frontend is VERY good

Limiting this technology to Americans seems more like a power move than anything else it tells the rest of the world that they view themselves as the sovereign power in the AI landscape, if it was about the jailbreak they would restrict it all through out

The possible reason is now clearer. Anthropic says the US government showed them a way to jailbreak Fable 5 that could create serious public harm. If that is the issue, the obvious move should be pausing Fable 5 for everyone until it is fixed. That is the part I still can't make sense of.

@anthdm The report that lead to the ban was from Amazon it seems, Wall Street Journal confirmed that they identified a jailbreak, perhaps this is innacurate, but there are mentions of a company, said company appears to be Amazon

I don't get it. The model is basically completely lobotomised. You can't even run a simple security audit on your own projects. I don't think this is about "dangerous AI" but about unfinished business between Trump and Dario

@anthdm You could make the case that GPT-6 is already release-ready might even match or surpass Fable but it is first model that's made me stop second guessing the outputs it has been that reliable based on what I've seen so far the jump in capability feels enormous tbh

If you think you’ll always hit winners and never face a losing streak, you’re living in a delusion. I’m on a loss streak right now, and I fully accept it. I’m not letting it mess with my emotions.
