@TuvelaThomas @libsoftiktok Everything was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID. The neighborhoods were insane that year with fireworks. All that happens when they cancel public displays is people do it on their own. This is more likely to cause fires and environmental damage.

@sickOfWFH @Jankersville @hyperionca @libsoftiktok I said *if* Disney were to accept the liability. They wouldn't. My take is that it's an unnecessary. We don't have to have fireworks to celebrate the USA. Even professional shows can have accidents.

Think you’ll agree this is 100% a political play. Fireworks > drone show, safe and less expensive (albeit non-zero). Your take is no cost is justified.

Disneyland has been conducting shows since the late 1950s without significant incident (~20k shows). Maybe they should contract Disney?
