@farsidegooner @GamewithDave Another wild part of D1 was (as far as I remember) that all alliances were informal, and someone playing with you could turn on you at the end of a run.

@Tweek_Playdate @GamewithDave Mate took me through a dungeon that was a lot higher than I was for a loot run, got halfway through and he had to bail so he left me in the middle surrounded by beasts that could kill me with a look 🤣🤣

For those who used a computer between 1995 and 2001, what's the computer game from that time that sticks with you the most, and why?

@illiquiditymaxi @GamewithDave D2 has the sprawl of multiple acts and general improvements, but there's just some kind of purity to D1 that I can't quite articulate

@Tweek_Playdate @GamewithDave I like d2 for the crafting, but even now, i'll go back and play d1. d1 is the hardcore marathon grind that a lot of games want.

Lately, I'm seeing people directly appeal to the algorithm to reach their intended audience. Does it work? What do you think, fans of Over the Garden Wall? Does it work?? This makes it look like it's one long fight scene, but isn't it actually intercut with scenes of a child forrest gumping his way through destroying a space station and saying stuff like "now this is podracing" ? I think they hate the stuff that was specifically left out of this clip

@PhrogPollenYT Some of my favorite memories of childhood in the Midwest are running around trying the catch the lightning bugs just after dark. I live in the west now, and my kids have never seen them. I didn't know there was a chance they'll never see them.

What's really sad is because they're so hard to track population wise, scientists didn't even know they were going extinct until recently and now they're almost all gone.

Xbox Game Pass at $30 a month is just too expensive. There's no universe where that price makes sense. I bet a vanishingly small amount of people actually use all the services contained inside it. Agree with this piece.
