Watched chiraiya. It's unsettling. It lingers upon you. Some series are meant to spark conversations where silence exists. It deserves to be spoken of as a hard hitting tale for the target audience it is meant to be & I hope it reaches them. Elites are not the target audience.

Apart from the heinous crime, the real tragedy is how normal it has become. Such heinous acts occur so frequently that they don’t even outrage people for long. They’re buried as just another statistic in this country.

Concept of a series targeting Indian marriage when marital rape is a worldwide issue which has been normalised in the name of marital duties. Women upholding patriarchy at the cost of rape & violence just for some browny points never ceases to amaze me.
