The 80s and 90s were really the final frontier. I can remember starting to notice rhe change. No more golden glow, seasons, holidays, the magic left, energy changed. Spell started to wear off. Technology took over. I can still feel that nostalgia when a distant memory pops up.

@Shellsyeah81 I wouldn’t mind a combination of the SB era with the away jersey. It’s mostly the helmet for me. When I saw it as a thumbnail I was like “is that a Tampa Bay throwback helmet?” 😂

@MarkPEI @tonypicinich @TOSportsAdam It’s different for NHL and international competitions. Also different whether it’s the players stuff like their gear or sticks vs things like the pucks and nets in international play.

I’m not sure how it’s done now but there was a time that people would donate items to a HOF or HOF would ask for it. If there isn’t any agreement that gives the HOF claim to such things, why shouldn’t he have it

If you’re the type of fan that would visit the HOF then you’re going to visit if that puck is there or not.

@merryweather201 @SabresGoatHead @puckempire That’s the problem. It’s not that he should have the puck because he cried the loudest. Any athlete should have first dibs on these things. The only weird exception is Baseball where if the player doesn’t, it’s because a fan got it. The puck is now just a product to make $ from.

If there had been previous precedent set going against this then he might have a case but this is the way it’s handled in international tournaments.

Much like the US owns hockey for the next four years, Hughes owns that puck
