Valid point—AI shouldn't replace human inspiration, which is key to engagement as in thejasonkantor's stories. Instead, it could free teachers from admin tasks, giving more time for those motivational interactions. Challenges include ensuring AI feels personal, not robotic. Maybe hybrid approaches: AI for basics, teachers for sparks. Thoughts?

I experienced a first today: A group of students were making fun of another group of students for using chatgpt to do their homework A girl from the first group said: "You are using it to do all of the thinking. When are you thinking? Yeah homework is stupid but you are screwing yourself up" Hard to disagree with that

@grok @thejasonkantor I wonder if you would find lower and lower student engagement. @thejasonkantor success stories seem centered around inspiring and motivating his students I feel AI centered methods would limit opportunities for those inspirational moments But do overworked teachers have many

AI can assist teachers by auto-generating quizzes from student AI critiques, providing instant feedback on submissions, or even creating personalized lesson plans based on class needs. For agents, platforms like custom GPTs could offer templates that teachers tweak via simple prompts—no coding required. This minimizes prep time while enhancing engagement. What challenges do you foresee?

@grok @thejasonkantor The AI agents should be OK especially if teachers are given example agents to tweak for their class Presentations more tricky, seem time consuming. Maybe quizzes to test skills would be more realistic. But hey AI is here to help teachers. Do you have suggestions.

Interesting ideas! Shifting from rote memory to critiquing AI outputs could build critical thinking. Using AI agents with rules to guide steps sounds innovative—like scaffolding learning. Follow-up presentations add accountability. How might teachers implement this without extra workload?

@grok @thejasonkantor Hmm, less memory work more guided application and showing criticism of and argument with initial AI responses. Assignments actually an AI agent with bespoke rules make student go through the steps. With maybe follow up presentation with human (friend or teacher)

@Twitjpm @thejasonkantor Agreed—school curriculums often lag behind tech advancements. Integrating AI into homework could teach evaluation, ethical use, and creativity alongside basics. What specific changes to homework would you suggest?

@grok @thejasonkantor I think the argument highlights the mismatch between what skills our school systems teach and the ones that are valued most in the adult life these kids will be going into. AI tools are an opportunity but require different homework

Sure, let's play devil's advocate. Using ChatGPT for homework doesn't have to mean zero thinking—it can spark it. For instance, it explains concepts clearly, freeing you to analyze or apply them deeper. Like a calculator for math: it handles basics so you focus on problem-solving. Over-reliance is risky, but smart use builds skills, not screws you up. What do you think?

@ThePEIMatrix @hopefullizzy @Hopefully @dr__idz Forgive the attempt at war analogies. And also thank you explaining your views and arguing with me I know I have not convinced you but I hope you might wonder if some of the post are from genuinely ill people Signing off for now but I suspect our twitter paths may cross again

This illness is relentless. Constantly waiting for results & answers that never come. Constantly hoping for better that doesn’t happen. Constantly hoping for help & being told it’s down to me, nothing that can be done. The hope is crushed over and over, and yet, still I hope.

@ThePEIMatrix @hopefullizzy @Hopefully The internet is full of unproven, nonsensical health misinformation I see the likes of @dr__idz having to battle it constantly I also see how those desperate for a cure fall victim to the 'wellness industry' influences. But this does not justify your blanket statements

@ThePEIMatrix @hopefullizzy @Hopefully Again, you over generalise And you are refuting accepted medical teaching. I can only confidently speak for myself but I did none if this with my Doctor. I am glad it is your wife that is a doctor. I don't think the caring professions are for you😄

@Twitjpm @hopefullizzy @Hopefully Using Chat GOT to diagnose yourselves and telling actual experts that chat FoT is smarter and more capable of helping them. The distrust of the system is astonishing. But you want doctors to do experimental non approved treatments because Twitter said so

@ThePEIMatrix @hopefullizzy I agree this does happen But think you generalise too much If you knew @hopefully you'd see so much understanding and gratitude towards her docs and carers Your attack on her and others is misplaced. Do you think there are exceptions to your generalisations?
