Update: Richmond Judge Claire Cardwell has denied the city's motion asking her to reconsider her criticism of the city's attorney.
She said ethical matters are for the Virginia State Bar, while issuing a reminder she has power to punish attorneys

Mayor Avula says the city is cash-strapped and can’t afford to cut taxes.
Meanwhile, Judge Cardwell says the city’s attorneys’ behavior has resulted in over half a dozen expensive hearings in a case that’s approaching $1M in costs.

He is the George Washington of $470 per hour lawyers.
