The current physical activity guidelines are too low. I've been saying this for a while. And a new study confirms it. Meeting the standard 150 minutes/week was associated with only a modest ~8–9% lower cardiovascular risk. The biggest protection occurred at roughly 560–610 minutes/week, about 3–4× higher, where cardiovascular risk was 30% lower. We need to distinguish between the minimal activity volume required for basic protection, and the substantially higher volumes required for optimal resilience.

If Lars’ expectations didn’t align w/ Athletics leadership, then it’s time to go our separate ways. For all of those pissing vinegar about Lars leaving, where have you been for the calls to invest in the program??? Why wasn’t Lars HC salary endowed? Why haven’t we seen more than 5 add’l scholarships endowed? We’re operating in a rev share/NIL environment. Lax community needs to adapt. UVA Men’s Tennis has done so. Try following that model!

Several issues have been in play for sometime. If they were easily resolvable, Lars would have had an extension long before now.

@TwoForFooz @RichmonderNews You're right... If they go full steam ticketing every car that doesn't completely stop behind the line, that would be an explosive number of tickets. With the thousands of infractions noted, I think it's possible that's what we're seeing and what they want.

@na_me_eso_atta @RichmonderNews Obviously there are degrees of violation in these instances. Hopefully they are not writing tickets that cops never write even when they are right there. Just because you can enforce perfection doesn’t mean you should. The average driver commits many infractions every trip

That's how the code is written, and rolling through a right turn on red is one of the things they want to stop (for pedestrian safety). That would fit the recent pedestrian safety focused enforcement pattern.
