Part of me feels this game is still at least a year out.
Another part of me remembers RGG isn't averse to mega drops and a nearby release date when the mood strikes them.
Still this is kinda threadbare marketing.

@NeverSinkDev I can see that reasoning but swords have been demanded since EA launch and I think the reception towards shapeshifting melee may help influence and encourage design in future melee gameplay and thus make their implentation easier. That said I want flails first.

I think PoE2 may receive Swords/Axes as the LAST 2 weapon classes.
VERY unlikely in 0.5.
Getting 'simple' melee right is really hard in ARPGs. Adding them last gives GGG time to learn/iterate.
I expect to see Templar/Flails next.

@LThanhHao232 @devilleon7 I keep yelling that if they want a live service RE and don't want to do Outbreak again, just do a standalone Raid Mode from the Revelation games. Nobody wants PvP, but a PvE experience with progression and a grind to it can easily grab an audience as it did with Raid Mode!!!

@devilleon7 I feel like Outbreak is truly lightning in a bottle. Everytime they try a multiplayer focus game, they failed in some aspect. Operation Raccoon, Umbrella Corp, Resistance, RE verse

For Resident Evil's 20th anniversary we got Umbrella Corps, and for their 25th anniversary we got REverse. I'm good with not having a third failed PvP game for the 30th anniversary as a "gift" 🤣🤣
