@TwoRulesOfWar I served under 3 COs. 2 of the 3 were great: one had the back of the enlisted; the other, despite being a hardass, would go to bat for you so long as you made the attempt. The 3rd CO was a goober and known suck-up.
One of the 3 went to the Academy, I'll let you guess who.

The only high point of this was that while I was deployed, my wife had an ice cream truck come to a party for the kids.
She told them my favorite was Choco tacos, and that k was deployed. they gave her every single one that they had left to put in our freezer.
