EAST CHICAGO THUNDER ANNOUNCE HAYDON PRICE AS NEW GENERAL MANAGER The East Chicago Thunder are proud to announce the hiring of Haydon Price as the organization’s new General Manager. Price brings a strong background in baseball operations and player development to the Thunder. A 2023 graduate of Marian University, Price earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Sport & Recreation Management and Business Administration. Over the past four seasons, Price gained valuable experience with the Green Bay Blue Ribbons, where he served in multiple capacities across the organization. Price currently holds the position of Recruiting Coordinator at Illinois Valley Community College. Price will oversee all baseball operations, player personnel decisions, and day-to-day management of the club. When you look at run values of pitches in almost all counts against almost every hitter you see that even your worst pitch right middle-middle is better than an out of the zone miss. Hitters just aren’t THAT good at punishing mistakes. They’d vastly prefer you to miss the zone.
