Dear Callum Crawford,
Thank you for everything you’ve done, not just for lacrosse, but for the countless lives you’ve touched, including my own family’s. Your incredible career as a pro lacrosse player is something to celebrate—truly one of the best runs we’ve ever seen. But beyond the goals, the wins, and the records, it’s your heart and dedication off the field that stand out most.
When we founded the Ottawa Capitals together in 2012, you brought more than just skill and passion for the game. You brought a vision for what lacrosse could mean to young players—a way to grow, to learn, and to become better people. You’ve mentored hundreds of kids, including my two boys, with your coaching, your honest conversations, and the way you model what it means to be a leader. Your guidance has shaped them, and so many others, in ways that go far beyond the sport.
Your commitment to these kids—through every practice, every frank talk, every moment you showed them what integrity and hard work look like—has left a legacy that will outlast any highlight reel. I’m so grateful for you, Callum, and I know I’m not alone. We love you, and we’re so proud to have been part of your journey.
