The irony is that even the billionaire investors will lose all their wealth. Because the real source of wealth is the consumers. If no one has a job, there will be no customers to buy the products AI will be making. It seems that our super-intelligent humans developing AI have lost their sanity. At the top is Elon Musk who is promoting the idea of "Universal High Income". The idea that 160 million jobless workers of the US will all get a Ferrari, a private jet, a yacht, and a beach home without having to work! He says " AI will do all the jobs, work will be optional". The idea that reducing the cost of labor to zero will create abundance is the most stupid idea anyone can think of. If that were so South Sudan with a labor cost of $0.37 per hour would be the richest country in the world where the labor cost is already lower than the potential cost of AI workers. Will AI provide the people of South Sudan Ferraris, private jets, yachts, and beach homes soon?

Humanoid robots + AI will mean everyone on Earth has access to better medical care than the richest person alive today. THAT is what abundance looks like.
