Tomorrow evening, SLS & Orion will break cover once again & make the run out to LC-39B. The Artemis II crew also entered quarantine at JSC earlier this afternoon in preparation for launch. Things are lining up.

Engineers are targeting 8 pm ET on Thursday, March 19, for rollout of Artemis II. NASA’s crawler-transporter 2 will carry the 11-million-pound stack at about 1 mph along the four-mile route from the Vehicle Assembly Building at @NASAKennedy to the launch pad.

Some stats from PAO to round out the day: - Total elapsed time: 7 hours, 2 minutes - Today's EVA was the 278th in support of ISS assembly, maintenance & upgrades - 1st EVA of 2026 - 1st EVA of Expedition 74 - Jessica Meir's 4th spacewalk, totalling 28h 46m - Chris Williams' first spacewalk - 73 days, 8 hours, 28 minutes of total EVA time in support of the ISS.

Initial Super Heavy V3 and Starbase Pad 2 activation campaign complete, wrapping up several days of testing that loaded cryogenic fuel and oxidizer on a V3 vehicle for the first time. While the 10-engine static fire ended early due to a ground-side issue, we saw successful startup on all installed Raptor 3 engines. Next up: preparing the booster for a 33-engine static fire

NASA: "Due to quicker than expected completion of close-out activities, NASA now may roll out the Artemis II rocket from the Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Pad 39B, on Thursday, March 19. A final decision on start time will be made on Wednesday, March 18."
