Very special LHP Prospect in 2028 @TylerGates11071 of @LHSWolvesBaseb1 I don't use the D1 label much, but Tyler has a chance to flirt with that level out of HS if he stays determined. Tyler was 1st Team All Conference this Spring and then played above his age for Senior Legion @NCPost100 Tyler has been getting the majority of his reps the past season against older competition through the HS and @legionbaseball route; I think this will be the deciding factor in a few years when he's competing against other high-level arms for High Level College Offers On 8/16, his FB was 82-85 w/ spins up to 2339. He also throws a SL, CB, Splitter, and a Cutter. His Split flashed as "filthy" during the Live ABs. SL spun up to 2516. I also like how Gates maneuvers himself to both side of the rubber to create different attack angles for his SL, CB, and CT. 6'3" 180 Frame. Poised and polish above his age. Undecided on his Degree, but is already a 4.1 GPA.
