The @TXHSA inducted George Strait alongside Don Cook, Keith Gattis and @MirandaLambert on Saturday night. @Jamey_Johnson honored George, performing “Kicked Out of Country,” Dean Dillon delivered a stirring rendition of “Drinkin’ Man” and George and Bubba Strait joined for “Here For A Good Time.” Thanking all the songwriters for sending him so many great songs over the years and recognizing and remembering those no longer with us — including Gattis with a performance of “I’ve Got A Car” — and George’s manager and “Cheyenne” songwriter Erv Woosley, George reflected on the honor to not only write songs, yet also carry forward the work of fellow writers whose words have shaped his journey. 📸: @TylerJConrad
