I’m gonna say the quiet part out loud. The 2026 NHL Playoffs are sort of a dud. Nine series completed—one game 7 and three sweeps. There are some awesome series (Habs v Buf) big too many non-competitive ones, little fighting, drama is down, etc. Love seeing the high TV ratings, and it is still early, but this year’s playoffs feel soft.

Knoblauch said he feels he could have been more decisive in training camp as far as assigning roles to players and letting things play out right or wrong. Said some of his decision with lines and player usage were also factors.

Notable that canada has decided to close its morning skate tomorrow. This has usually been limited to scratches and goalies but would also be the time for injured players to take a spin and test things out. Doug Armstrong had said no more practices would be closed but as things tighten up, would seem extra precaution about what information gets out is taking priority.

Chat, if you’re Georgie Parros at the Players Safety department.. how many games are you giving #93 J. Swish in today’s NHL? This was in the Finnish Elite League 2022 playoff. They gave me 3 games. Not my proudest moment, but I chased that kid down for 3 games and he wouldn’t fight. Was diving all over the ice. Chirping. Just being a huge rat and for lack of a bettter term, pussy. Sometimes you gotta go full criminal and the wires cross 😵🙅🏻. That was an absolute hacksaw Jim Duggins though. Not perfect on my end… -93.1
