Also Ludvig gets bet so much because he may be the best ball striker in the world right now and is usually in contention. Type of player people like to bet on.

Rory’s first 11 majors starts were when he was aged 18-21. Won when he was 22. Ludvig turns 27 this fall. Ludvig is a very good player. He will win a major, maybe more. But this is why I get annoyed. Ever since he had that 2nd place finish he’s been elevated into a tier he hasn’t earned yet.

@Betgolfworld Rai is a worthy champion, not arguing that. But I think the overall setup did not test players much tee to green, evidenced by many of the top guys T2G this week not sniffing contention.

It’s a putting contest where those in contention inside top 6 in putting this week (Schmid, JT, Rai) have been below average putting this year. Not a fan of a major feeling like random luck variance.

Sign of a great major test is when short game matters so much. The reason why these events are so often won by the worlds best is because they gain so much off the tee. Not so easy to gain in that department here and I'm all for it. The probable winner here is hitting fairways+

@Betgolfworld Because we know how volatile it is historically. Rai hitting his irons great so less of a thing now, but more so with Schmidt almost winning. Fine seeing that at the AmEx but want to see majors test players tee-to-green, and that hasn’t been the case this week.

Quite a few useless points here as if the 2010s Thunder weren’t extremely loved for a while. It’s simple. SGA is not enjoyable to watch. This would be like Patrick Cantlay becoming the undisputed best player in the world.

So here's my honest answer for why people hate OKC and SGA. I think the SGA hate has a lot of factors, and very few have to do with flopping or drawing fouls. 1) There's a lot of latent hate of OKC because of the Sonics move, yes, even 20 years later.
