This is the 30th anniversary of Cambodia's landmine removal. Over a million landmines and three million explosives have been removed, and 2,531 km2 has been cleared for the construction of homes, schools, farms and roads. Deaths have fallen from 4,320 in 1996 to less than 100.

Good news from McKinsey - "By 2035, renewables will generate 60% of the world’s electricity. But even these projections might be too low. Three years ago, we... asked, “How much faster can they grow?” The answer is: faster than you think they can."

The brazenness of this regressive funding of schools is quite astonishing.
Institute for Fiscal Studies@TheIFS

📊 #IFSSatStat: The new National Funding Formula has boosted funding for the most deprived fifth of schools the least (by less than 1%) since 2017. This follows bigger cuts for schools in deprived areas during the 2010s, esp. outside London, where educational outcomes are worst.
