I have been lucky to work with staff at @tynesidecinema many times. They are a brilliant bunch. I am deeply impressed by their progressive, measured, clear and supportive response. I send enormous love, solidarity and courage for the process ahead.

Our Staff Statement will no longer be updated, but will remain publicly viewable as a declaration of the staff commitment to change and as a framework for building a better and healthier Tyneside Cinema together. (8/8) bit.ly/3dFRfVL

We hope that now the cinema will take a commitment to change seriously and will be held publicly accountable, that audience and staff trust can be restored, and that you will once again feel able to love & support Tyneside Cinema. (7/8)

@KateWray7 @tynesidecinema Hi Kate, we think this particular statement needs to come from within the organisation & from those directly affected. However, customers expressing solidarity is v helpful. Customers could start their own petition, or write directly to the CEO/Board to express support. Thank you

@TynesideStaff @tynesidecinema Was wondering whether it might help to allow customers to sign your statement? This might further encourage management to enact the changes you are asking for & discourage horrified customers from walking away? We want you all to remain employed and the Tyneside to thrive.

Thanks @itvnews To clarify, the statement signed by 140+ current & former @tynesidecinema employees was made after CEO Holli Keeble issued an inadequate response to accounts of sexual abuse & mismanagement shared on twitter. No public reply to the staff statement has been issued.

Solidarity to @TynesideStaff and those who have so courageously spoken up. 👏🏽 Sexual assault and harassment are far too commonplace in the U.K. exhibition/distribution industry, and it breaks my heart to say I’m telling you that from my own + others personal experience. (1/2)

Really saddened to read about this. Tyneside Cinema is a regional & national cultural institution of great value. I hope it takes the decisive action required to truly address these issues and remedies the current failures for a better future for all
