@Kitsbites Thank you! The problem with using a steady rest for dialing in barrels is that the bore and outside diameter rarely are concentric enough, especially when dealing with a cut down barrel.

@RifleLlc29322 Welcome aboard! I’ve done a little machine work for a long time, but NOTHING complex (I’m the guy who is usually the last try before you call a real machine shop) Wouldn’t a 4 jaw and a steady rest do the same? I do see the advantage of essentially having 2x 4jaws, though
