Kristen Hawkins blocked me. She blocks all abolitionists but says her goal is abolition. This doesn’t make sense. If you want abolition you must uphold that abortion is murder and that the perpetrators are the mothers who hire the hits. Prosecution of murderers is the first step. She refuses. I've learned so much from Dr. Piper that I feel a burden to find a way to maintain my high view of him every time he crashes out like this. I still assert that in his very specific, narrow theological-piety niche he's been a blessing. That said, he's clearly in a Time to Take Dad's Keys moment (as you may have heard us talk about on @BackwoodsBelief). And that difficult task generally falls to a man's sons. However, in Dr. Piper's case it isn't possible because his sons are woke to horrendous degrees. There's a question of cause and effect there but it is also a tragic case of a ruinous end of what should be a Flagship Household of evangelicalism and, for the same reason I opened with, I can't help but be saddened by it.

This isn't what I see in the video. I see a man exercising his Second Amendment right, who was impeding law enforcement but not attacking them, whose gun may have went off when it was removed by an ICE officer, which then tragically ended his life as the other officers reasonably thought they were in danger. To me, the facts show a tragic, justified shooting, so I think admin spokespeople should stick to them.

Honnold's climb of Freerider on ElCap (which was captured on film by the legendary Jimmy Chin) is EASILY 10x more impressive than what Alex did on the skyscraper. I don't think it's possible to fully appreciate the absurdity of Honnold's free solo of ElCap unless you yourself have been on that climb. I have... I've been up there... I've done all the moves... (and this was during a period of my life wher I was in the top 0.00001% of strongest climbers in the world) And I got my ass handed to me. The 13a crux 23 pitches off the ground is unbelievably technical and requires a level of precision that, to execute without a rope, is nearly unbelievable. This is a hill I will gladly die on: Honnold's free solo of ElCap is THE single most impressive athletic achievement in human history. Nothing else comes even remotely close. (and certainly not this skyscraper). If you want to have your paradigm for what humans are capable of turned upside down... Go watch Free Solo.
